Based on hoppers built by the East Broad Top Railroad in their Orbisonia, Pennsylvania shops, the 2-Bay Steel Hopper is similar to narrow gauge hoppers found across the United States in the early-to-mid 20th century, many of which were purchased from the East Broad Top or based on their design.
