The Amfleet® I is the backbone of the Amtrak® single-level passenger car fleet. The car type has seen recent upgrades, including new interiors and modernized features. Most notably, in 2025, an adaptation of Amtrak’s Phase VII paint scheme was unveiled for use on Amfleet cars. In this scheme, cars are color-coded for their class of service, with green for Coach and light blue for Business. Bachmann is pleased to introduce this paint scheme to N Scale with new coach and food service cars arriving with fully detailed lighted interiors.
